“In grieving we admit the truth – that we were hurt by someone we loved, we lost something very dear, and it hurt us very much…Grief is a form of validation; it says the wound mattered.”
John Eldredge
The separation and divorce of a marriage is much like a death. When someone or something dies, the grieving process needs to take place to heal. The Oasis divorce recovery group is a special place of comfort, encouragement and healing. The group meets weekly in homes across the Buckhead area, providing you with an on-going support team as you deal with the issues surrounding your circumstances.
The following topics will be discussed during the 13-week course of the program:
- Week 1: What’s happening to me?
- Week 2: The road to healing and finding help
- Week 3: Facing my anger
- Week 4: Facing my depression
- Week 5: Facing my loneliness
- Week 6: What does the owner’s manual say?
- Week 7: New relationships
- Week 8: Financial survival
- Week 9: Kid care
- Week 10: Single sexuality
- Week 11: Forgiveness
- Week 12: Reconciliation
- Week 13: Moving on and growing closer to God
